Experienced & Registered Builders
Peter Wishart, owner of Facelift for Homes, is a qualified carpenter and Registered Building Practitioner #DB-U4331. With over 40 years’ experience, Peter has “DB-U” registration as opposed to “DB-L”; the “U” is for “Unlimited”, which means there is no limitation to the scope of work he can undertake. Apart from replacing windows and doors, Peter can build a whole house if he chooses, but his expertise is in structural alterations or “lifestyle renovations” as he likes to call them!

Managing Director
Peter is a qualified carpenter, Registered Builder (DB-U 4331), Master Builder and member of the Housing Industry Association of Australia. Two of the most important things to Pete are pride in workmanship and respect. Pete has over 40 years’ hands-on industry experience and pretty much a PhD in window and door replacements, structural alterations and transformations throughout Melbourne.
He’s hand-picked and trained a fine team of tradies and put together a powerhouse of sales and administration specialists to make his business the best it can be in the industry. The result of this is a dedicated and cohesive team, keeping thousands of happy clients coming back for more! Pete’s a true innovator and comes up with amazing ideas to transform your home whilst accommodating your dreams and that all-important budget.
Sales, Concept & Design
Rod is a highly experienced and valued Concept & Design Specialist. Having run his own business for a few decades, Rod has a high profile in the industry and a great rapport with our clients and is, without a doubt, among the best in the business. Rod has been associated with us for over 20 years and was warmly welcomed to the team permanently in 2021. Rod’s been a hands-on builder and carpenter, designing and installing windows and doors for over 30 years. In addition to a broad skill set, he’s got a head full of great solutions and creative ideas. With his gigantic smile, affable personality and extensive technical knowledge, you’ll definitely enjoy his visit. One of Rod’s particular talents is giving the right advice to help you achieve the perfect balance between expectation, budgetary requirements and a great new look for your home.
General Manager, Operations
Steve joined us in 2017 as our Accounts & Administration Co-ordinator having a background in Property Management and Warehousing & Distribution. Following an internal restructure in 2021, Steve took over the helm as our Installations Coordinator working with the trades, sales and manufacturing teams. In July 2023 Steve transitioned to the position of General Manager (Operations) overseeing all activities company-wide and providing invaluable support to our MD allowing him to step back a little from the day-to-day operations of our company. Steve is essentially the man with his finger on the pulse and your “go-to” person for all things Installation. He’s your Project Navigator through the complex world of Victorian Building Authority and local council compliances, domestic building contracts, insurance, and building permits. Steve actively keeps up with the latest legislative and contractual requirements. He also constantly streamlines our procedures to ensure you’re cool, calm, collected and, above all, well-informed throughout your project. He essentially takes out the hassle factor for you! As another upbeat and friendly character on our team (and the most infectious laugh you’ve ever heard!), your interactions with Steve will be truly memorable.
Customer Support Co-Ordinator & RetractAscreen Product Manager
Simone joined us in 2015 heading up our Customer Support team, a pivotal role in our company that reflects the importance we place on listening to our clients. We refer to her as “CSI” – that’s “Customer Support and Information”. Simone really knows her stuff and if she doesn’t have the answer for you on-the-spot, she’ll find it! As your first point of contact, Simone will accompany you throughout your project to ensure your complete satisfaction with our work. In 2018, Simone took over in a ‘caretaker’ capacity co-ordinating various aspects of the RetractAscreen division of our business. She did it so well that in 2023 we gave her a new hat and a fancy title to go with it, and she now seamlessly handles the sales, production, installation scheduling and after-sales service for this ever-expanding range of quality retractable flyscreen solutions. Simone genuinely enjoys what she does and strives to be well-informed to provide you with comprehensive information in all aspects of your renovation, from window and door replacements to larger structural projects. With her quick wit and sense of humour, your communications with Simone will be a delightful experience.
Administration & Accounts Co-Ordinator
Janet (aka Jan) is our “New Kid On The Block” having joined us mid 2023 on her repatriation after 25 years in UK. Jan is a bubbly bright light within our internal administration team and brings a wealth of experience from a solid background in bookkeeping and customer service across a variety of industries, including having been a business owner herself. Parting with your hardearned dollars will prove almost a delight, when dealing with Jan… OK maybe not that easy, but less painful for sure – especially with her cheeky English accent (although she’ll deny she has one!) Jan is a great asset to the team, not only with her brilliant sense of humour, but her cheerful and professional manner working with our valued clients and supporting our sales and administration crew. A stickler for clarity and accuracy, Jan makes a point of getting to know our clients and ensuring all the t’s are crossed and the i’s are dotted, especially in the preparation and execution of Domestic Building Contracts. There’s no doubt your interactions with Jan will always be both informative and enjoyable.
The Installation Team
Scott, Duncan, Liam, Con, and Daniel are five of the nicest strangers you could have in your home. With over 90 years’ experience between them in all aspects of the building trade, they will get the job done quickly and efficiently with minimal disruption to your home. They are all qualified professionals with each having particular areas of expertise in the finer points of domestic building, carpentry, glazing, caulking, sealing, and finishing. They’re a team of fastidious craftsmen that take pride in their work and pleasure in the finished result. In fact, they leave the site so clean and tidy at the end of it all that you wouldn’t even know they’d been there – except for your beautiful new windows and doors!
Scott
As Site Supervisor, Scott is responsible for co-ordinating the trades teams and liaising with our clients on-site, as well as being a vital link between our manufacturing and supply teams. Scott joined the trades team in 2017 as a general carpenter bringing an enormous amount of enthusiasm and exuberance. Through the years, Scott expanded his already broad repertoire of carpentry and building skills and, through a mentoring process, soon took up the mantle of Team Leader. Highly respected by his colleagues and our clients alike, Scott moved into the Supervisory role in 2024 and continues to innovate and motivate!
Liam
Our Leading Hand Liam is a qualified Carpenter with a background in window and door replacements, residential renovations and structural works. Liam joined us in 2021 and by 2023 had proven to be highly skilled in heading up the trades team and providing invaluable support to our installations management team. Liam’s affable nature, innovative approach to problem-solving coupled with his finely honed carpentry skills ensures 100% customer satisfaction on every project
Duncan
As a pivotal figure in our Window & Door Installations Team, Duncan is also head of RetractAscreen Installations. Duncan has decades of experience as a professional Builder-Carpenter, Glazier and Waterproofer having worked on large and small residential construction projects, including running his own highly successful residential construction business for many years. Opting to dial it back a bit, Duncan joined us in 2019 as a subcontractor expertly installing our RetractAscreens. It wasn’t long before we realised that his eye for detail and expert building and carpentry expertise made him a highly desirable addition to the Window & Door installation team. Duncan now works across both divisions of the company, both as our RetractAscreen Installer and trainer.
Con
Arriving on-site late in 2023 Con brought with him an extensive array of skills acquired during his 30 year career as a general handyman across a variety of residential and commercial projects. As an enthusiastic member of the team, Con has an overwhelming willingness to get things done and done right, and is always on hand to help his teammates and our clients with whatever needs doing. Con has recently completed training as a RetractAscreen Installer as that sector of our business grows, making him an invaluable part of the overall team.
Daniel
A fully qualified professional Carpenter & Joiner, Daniel’s background is predominantly in both commercial and residential Window and Door Installations. Daniel joined the team in 2023 and has gone from strength to strength, bringing us some new ideas and working as a cohesive and valuable member of the team. Daniel has a great smile and attitude to go with it, and no job’s too hard!
