New Aluminium Double-Glazed French Doors
With our minimally invasive technique, see how this old room was given a new lease of life. The rusty old steel windows and doors with thin and weathered glass completely spoilt the view. They were carefully removed to avoid damage to brickwork so no extra costs for a bricklayer! The new aluminium doors and adjacent awning windows feature beautiful large double-glazed panes to fully appreciate the garden beyond.
About this project:
Manufacturing lead time was 8 weeks. The team arrived at 8am and removal, framing, installation, finishing and cleanup was completed by 4pm the same day. Deco Style French Double Doors
Believe it or not, this used to be a window!
Our client wanted easy access from their bedroom to the lush tropical style private courtyard garden whilst keeping the character of the house. A delightful combination of old and new combining colonial bars on the sidelites and large panes on the doors – well, “Mission Accomplished”!
About this project:
Manufacturing lead time was 6 weeks. The works involved cutting down the wall below the old window to floor level, reframing and installation of the new windows and doors complete with new hardwood internal architraves and reveals, and took 1.5 days. Double-glazed Aluminium French Doors & Sidelites all custom-made and professionally installed, including removal of all rubbish from site came in just under $18,000

During the ‘Lockdown Years’ our client felt closed in and cut-off from the world so he called us in for a solution. The old door and sidelites with privacy glass just didn’t suit the house at all, and the transformation is quite spectacular – inside and out!

Completed in a single day, our team removed the old door and sidelites, reframed and replaced the architraves and professionally installed new Double-glazed Aluminium French Doors. Panoramic Windows & French Doors
The tired old awning windows were a nuisance on the new deck, and the sliding doors were a bit old fashioned. Installing huge fixed windows and fold-back French doors was the perfect solution, and the beautiful natural timber finish ties it all together.
Victorian Ash, being the most dense and stable of the hardwoods, was a great solution for this undercover area. We’d never use timber in an area exposed to the elements. It took our team two days and we’re sure you’ll agree the results are stunning.
Like all of our projects, this was a custom-design project using all Australian made windows, doors and glass. Timber prices vary hugely and frequently so we’ve chosen non-disclosure on the dollars here…
French Double Doors Replacement
With these two sets of French doors even the repairs needed repairs!
Our client wanted to keep the look and function exactly as it was so we were happy to oblige with custom-made exact replicas. As with all of our timber windows and doors we only used Victorian Ash and the finest of fittings. We’re even heading back this summer to install RetractAscreens to keep the bugs out.

Timber French Doors
This bay window was a lovely feature befitting of the character of the house, but lacked practicality for access to the outdoor area.
Being Registered Builders we were able to completely remodel it by cutting down the brickwork and creating almost an atrium effect with easy access to the garden and beautiful views from the dining area. The Victorian Ash French doors and fixed side windows let in far more light than the old design and really captured the indoor-outdoor feel.
It blends in beautifully with the home almost to the point you’d never know it wasn’t the original design. Even the mortar and re-laying of bricks blended beautifully – We love a challenge!
